Product formulation

Classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP) is the European legislation requiring all retailed substances and mixtures, including essential oils and fragrances, to be safety checked and any have any hazards and/or potential allergens clearly listed.

All of our candle range is made from either natural soy wax or pure beeswax and none contain any additives including synthetic fragrances or essential oils or other potentially hazardous chemicals so are exempt from CLP regulations which cover the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of substances and mixtures.

However, care should still be taken with candles to ensure:

A candle is never left burning unattended
Any candles should be placed on a level, heat-resistant surface, at least 10cm away from other burning candles and away from any flammable objects, and must be out of reach of children or pets
The wick should be trimmed to less than 5mm before lighting and no candle should be burned for more than 4 hours or when only 5mm of wax remains
After use, candles should be extinguished

Our soap range is made using shea butter with no additives, synthetic fragrances or essential oils.

Shea butter formulation:

Glycerin 25 – 50%

Aqua 10 – 25%

Sodium Stearate 5 – 10%

Sorbitol 5 – 10%

Sodium Oleate 5 – 10%

Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) 5 – 10%

Sodium Laurate 1 – 5%

Sodium Myristate 1 – 5%

Sodium Chloride 1 – 5%

Sodium Citrate 0.1 – 0.5%

Titanium Dioxide 0.1 – 0.5%

Pentasodium Pentetate < 0.1%

Tetrasodium Etidronate < 0.1%
